The City of Hudsonville Michigan 49426, has a similar start of its history as many other communities in West Michigan. Homer Hudson, an Englishman, settled in Georgetown Township in 1856. Homers purpose was to start a nursery and to raise various fruit trees. In 1872 the Federal Government designated the area that Homer Hudsonville had settled as Hudsonville.
